How to Master Your Next Gluten-Free Holiday Season …So You Can Enjoy All of Your Favorite Foods and Feel Great This Year.
September 24, 2013
Hey there my Gluten-Free Friend,
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a holiday just for you? A Thanksgiving table where you weren’t worried about keeping everything with wheat away from your plate? A Christmas where you could actually eat the cookies? A party where you could take something from the appetizer tray when it’s offered?
I know how lonely it can feel during the holidays when you’re gluten-free, especially when you’re watching everyone else take a slice of mom’s traditional apple pie.
That’s why I’ve created an Irresistible Gluten-Free Holiday Retreat. This live event, November 8-11, 2013 is designed to immerse you in the art of making gluten-free holiday cuisine, motivate and inspire you to feel your best during a season full of food.
In just 3 days, you will:
- Master delicious gluten-free versions of your favorite holiday foods.
- Regain a sense of anticipation and joy at the start of the holidays.
- Feel inspired to achieve your best health.
- Learn how to be social and share quality time with friends and family during the holidays when you’re gluten-free.
- Have a holiday for you at a beautiful mountain setting in Montana in November with four other women who know exactly what you’re going through.
Now, if you’ve read this far and know that this is something that you want to do, you’re next step is to CLICK HERE and schedule a Gluten-Free Discovery Call.
Because I’m only taking four women for this retreat, I’m doing it by application only, and I want to just chat with you first to get to know you and your situation a little bit better. It’ll take 15 minutes. We’ll laugh. We’ll talk about your favorite foods.
So, if you’re ready, CLICK HERE.
Janelle, I love it, but I want to know more first …
Okay, great! I’m happy to share more about what you’ll get out of three days with me and where you’ll be staying.
Your Irresistible Gluten-Free Retreat Includes:
The Guest House and Murray Hotel are historic, beautiful, comfortable, and within walking distance (two blocks).
All of the retreat activities will take place at the Sweetwater Guest House. Two participants will stay there, and two will stay at the Murray Hotel. Everyone will have their own private room with a queen or full bed and bathroom with wireless internet.
The retreat begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8th and ends at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11th.
2.) Eight Gluten-Free Meals …Customized for Your Sensitivities and Palate.
Janelle will be cooking all of the retreat meals gluten-free and dairy-free. If you have multiple food sensitivities, you’ll be taken care of, without having to ask to be “special.”
Every participant will have a chance to be a Sous Chef for at least one meal and learn some new skills in the kitchen during the retreat. Oh, and you won’t have to clean a dish (Janelle’s assistants will do that for you)!
3.) Four Culinary Master Classes for the Holidays in a Private Kitchen.
Are you ready to master baking gluten-free rolls, pie, stuffing, gravy and more? How about cookies and candy for Christmas? You’ll learn the basics to make your Thanksgiving and Christmas recipes come alive, and some advanced techniques to make them mouth-wateringly good. We’ll pick dishes that you want to make gluten-free, whether it’s traditional or an old-family recipe.
- The Secret to making gluten-free Holiday standards that people won’t know are gluten-free (they’re so good).
- The 3 gluten-free flours you need, and how to use them in recipes.
- How to replace eggs, dairy, tree nuts, and other common allergens in recipes.
- Proven recipes to use during the holidays.
4.) Personal Coaching to Help You Effectively Communicate with Friends and Family …. So They Understand Why You Eat What You Do.
The Number 1 challenge I hear from clients is having friends and family who just don’t seem to understand why they need to go gluten-free or take certain “healthy” foods out of their diet. It’s frustrating to feel misunderstood, left out, or even ridiculed for taking care of your health! I get it.
Plus, it can also lead to eating foods to “please” others that you normally wouldn’t eat. One of the gifts of being gluten-free is learning how to speak up for yourself without being a grouch or a push-over. There is a better way!
That’s why I’ve created scripts for you to use to e-mail friends and family before you visit at the Holidays, and words that will help them understand why it’s serious and what they can do to support you.
5.) Massage and Hot Springs Soak at Chico Hot Springs Resort.
I’ve carved time into the schedule to make sure that you get some rest and relaxation. You’ll be treated to a 60-minute therapeutic massage at Chico Hot Springs & Resort, with a dip in their natural hot springs on Sunday afternoon, so that you leave feeling relaxed and pampered before the start of the Holiday season.
We have so much to learn together that I hesitated to do this, but I know that if you don’t take time for yourself now, you might never take that time. And it’s really valuable for your health. Plus, it’s just fun!
6.) Morning Stretch & Fresh Air Walks in the Rocky Mountains of Montana.
So many times I’ve gone to a retreat and stayed inside the entire day! That’s not what I want for you. I want you to experience Montana and see the beauty around you.
To that end, each morning will start with a walk down to the gorgeous Yellowstone River and a morning stretch to help get the blood flowing and your energy moving for the day!
The stretch and walk will be invigorating, but not difficult (you won’t be sore the next day). Bring a coat, hat, and walking shoes.
7.) Gluten-Free Holiday Gifts For You Including the Best Gluten-Free Cookbooks, Gluten-Free Flours, Even Gluten-Free Shampoo!
Christmas is coming early! You’re going to get everything that I wish I would have received when I first went gluten-free. It’s going to save you much time and will be so much fun! Here are just a few items going in your gift basket:
- A Gluten-Free Cookbook with delicious recipes that are easy to make.

Got it! I love it, Janelle! And I’m ready!
But I gotta know. What’s my investment to attend the Irresistible Gluten-Free Retreat?
At the end of the day, what you’re looking for is new skills and lasting results. Right? Not just a two-day trip to the spa where you feel great while you’re there and then get right back into the chaos of your life with no plan to feel good when you return home.
This retreat is not about a quick-fix.
This is about making space from of the chaos of your daily life, getting really clear about what you want, and learning the tools to stick with a gluten-free diet during the most challenging time of year to stay healthy (the holidays).
With everything I’ve put into developing this retreat, I know that you’ll experience huge changes and results in your life and your energy levels by showing up and participating.
But I also know that this retreat will give you lasting results for years and years to come.
Still, I bet your mind might be saying things like …
* I could just do this on my own.
* I’m not sure I’m worth it.
But before you go any further, let me ask you a huge question:
Where will you be at next year if you don’t do this?
Chances are you know that getting support and skills and perspective and clarity are all the things you really need to make a difference in your health and life.
Too often, I’ve seen people say “I’ll do it myself” and then give up when they can’t. I don’t want this for you. I don’t want you to regret a year from now not starting today.
I want you to be able to really transform your health and DO THE THINGS YOU LOVE TO DO.
Maybe it’s a hike, or a horseback ride, or more quality time with your husband that you know you could have if you just had better health and a plan to stay on track. The time is now. Not later. It’s now.
So yes, this is an investment. In YOU.
And right now, all you have left to do is talk to me. Which you can do by clicking here and scheduling a time.
If you are accepted to attend, you can either pay in full for the price of $1697 or in 3 payments of $597, beginning now and 30 days apart.
We’ll talk, entirely risk-free, to see if this is the right fit for you. All you have to do is take the next step.
Click here to apply to attend and schedule a complimentary phone call with me.
P.S. I’m only taking 4 women! If you want to go, make sure you sign up today to talk to me. I can’t wait to get to know you!
P.P.S. Here’s what people who attended the 2012 retreat had to say:
I had been on the road for 2 weekends before going to this retreat. When I got to the retreat, I made it a point to shift down, and enjoy the people and place. Over the course of three days, I learned that I have made more changes and progress than I thought I had. I always tend to to think of the things I haven’t done instead of the things done. I went home determined to continue to work on my attitude and food choices. I met so many nice people while I was there – they will always be in my heart and mind.”
- Phyllis McGrath: Billings, MT
Before the October Wellness Retreat with Janelle, I had been a work in progress, figuring out how to take care of myself in terms of what to eat, how to best eat out successfully, and how to handle social dining situations. While at the retreat I learned I am not alone. I intellectually knew I was not alone in my navigation struggles with being gluten and grain free, but it was wonderful spending a weekend with others who shared similar struggles, and successes. I went home determined to clean up my kitchen of cross- contaminated items, and make room in my freezer for meals I’ll be cooking. Thank you Janelle for the work that you do! You have helped make a lasting impact on my gluten-free life!”
- Shannan Beall: Sacramento, CA
I used to give up when it came to eating gluten and dairy-free. I wouldn’t call restaurants ahead of time and I wouldn’t tell people about my dietary needs. While at the retreat, I didn’t worry about food, for once. I didn’t set an alarm clock and I turned my phone off for 3 days! I went home determined to throw out all the things that aren’t good for me, but I don’t want to ‘go to waste.’ I decided to call restaurants to ask them how they prepare their foods, and to take slow steps towards going grain-free.”
- Tina Smith: Bozeman, MT
Before this retreat, I was inconsistent with my food preparation and that resulted in some unhealthy food choices. I was also struggling with taking personal responsibility for this. While at the retreat, I learned to set aside time during each week to plan meals, make a shopping list, and how to prepare food for the coming week. I also learned that I must take personal responsibility for ensuring that this gets completed even if I must say no to other activities. As a result, I was able to consistently make healthier food choices.”
- Renee Anderson: Springfield, Missouri
Before working with Janelle, among my friends and family I did feel alone, and not normal because of my gluten-free diet. I was in constant struggle with food and always on guard. But now I recognize that I’m part of an elite community that closely monitors what we eat and cares about what we put in our bodies. I am determined to become healthier, and define who I want to become and not continue to be that poor guy who can’t eat anything. I am gluten-free, but gluten-free is NOT who I am.”
- Dale Graff: Bozeman, MT
Before this retreat, I was struggling with the thought of being gluten-free and incorporating it into my family life. At the retreat, I learned some great recipes that my family will enjoy and I was given the confidence to meal plan. The location, the food, the program was all wonderful!”
- Shelly Wear: Missoula, MT
I used to feel overwhelmed with all the food preparation that needed to be done to make changes in my family’s life. But while at the retreat I was given great tools, ideas, and resources to help plan and transition to the best possible food regimen. It was a great weekend: Empowering, thought-provoking, and helpful.”
- Lori Todd: Livingston, MT
Before this retreat, I was pretty sure I would always feel as thought I was going to go through life feeling “cheated” or missing the foods that I need to avoid. While at the retreat, I realized that so much of these feelings are just in my mind. I went home determined to work harder at meal planning and to keep up the inspiration I received there.”
- Darren Kisor: Livingston, MT
